There are a variety of ways Purrfect Feline Care can help you and your cat. Welfare checks are incorporated within your appointment as during your appointment Susie will chat through various areas of cat care that relate to your cat. You will receive access to the wealth of knowledge in cat care Susie has built up throughout her veterinary nurse career. Susie has a Diploma in Feline Nursing and a Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour Susie is also an Elite Fear Free Practitioner. Susie constantly ensures she keep her knowledge up to date and builds on it further. Each appointment is based around the cats temperament and needs, Susie will create a plan after the pre appointment phone call that suits your cats individual needs for example Susie will ensure she has a variety of fish treats for the fish lovers and meaty treats for the meat lovers. Susie also uses Feliway and Pet Remedy applying it to a blanket she brings along to the appointment, she also uses them as her perfume to help create a calming atmosphere. Fear Free is about adapting to the individual and observing them to understand how they are feeling and Susie alters what she is doing to help them feel safer and less fearful.
This is an hour appointment split into 2 half hour visits, so that your cat can get used to Susie and the blood pressure machine.

This is a half hour appointment which will occur if your cat's veterinary surgeon requests follow up blood pressure checks. Timings will be guided by your cat's veterinary surgeon.

This is a half hour appointment for any cat's who have, or are suspected to have, mobility issues due to pain, chronic illness or injury. Videos of your cats movements will be taken and sent to your cat's veterinary practice for the vet to assess. An assessment will also be made of how things can be adapted in the home to help your cats cope.

This is for cats who have been diagnosed with Feline Idiopathic Cystitis or Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. It is an hour long appointment which may be separated into 2 half hour appointments depending on the individual cat's needs. It will focus on what possible stressors are causing your cat issues and how we can work together to reduce them.
I will work with your cat's vet to create a follow up care plan to reduce the risk of further flare ups.
This includes a follow up phone call.
NB: It is essential your cat has a veterinary examination beforehand to ensure the issues do not have a physical or medical cause.
This is for cats who struggle with vet visits. It is a half hour long appointment which may be separated into two 15 minute appointments depending on the individual cat's needs. It will focus on working through the issues to getting your cat to the vets and how we can work to alleviate them. A plan will be created to reduce the stress involved in vet visits for you and your cat.
There will be a pre and post telephone consult is included.
This is a 30 minute appointment where we go through a variety of subjects including carrier training, neutering, getting your cat ready for neutering by assessing the best wound interference option e.g. body suit or collar.

This is a add on charge for additional cats after the initial fee and is per additional cat. E.g. you have 2 cats and a kitten the one cat will be £32, and the other cat and kitten will be £15 each.
The time length is dependant on the severity of the matts and the cat's temperament and ability to cope with the dematt. Options to help your cat in the best way to suit them will be discussed during the appointment. If further appointments are needed we can also discuss price.
This will be booked in if your cat is particularly fearful of new people and will be discussed if needed when Susie conducts the initial contact phone call.
These appointments are to help your cat start to feel comfortable around Susie particularly if the appointment desired involves Susie needing to interact and gain contact with your cat.
Contact appointments tend to be on the shorter side to ensure your cat is not overwhelmed and are led by your cat's reactions and behaviour.

Sometimes due to cat's temperament and stress levels Susie may not be able to achieve everything desired within the initial appointment. If this is the case Susie will discuss it with you and from the initial phone call Susie may advise a extra appointment but will go through options and why it may be needed.
Susie uses Cat Friendly Handling and Fear Free techniques to reduce the cat's fear, anxiety and stress as much as possible.
